In the lead up to Christmas, the children of Year 5 and Year 6 enjoyed a virtual meeting with our French partner school, l’École La Sidoine. The children explained many of our Christmas traditions, including putting out mince pies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer on Christmas Eve, opening advent calendars and gathering around the television for the King’s speech.

The French children spoke to us about Christmas in France, describing their seasonal markets, traditional Christmas Eve family get togethers and their wonderful festive feasts.

We can’t wait for our next opportunity to chat with our French friends and wish them all a very Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année!
