On Friday 7th February we took part in the NSPCC Number Day. It was a wonderful day spent celebrating the school's fantastic maths work and raising funds for the leading children's charity. 

Children came into school early to lay down any coppers and small change they had, creating a large '100' on the playground in recognition of the school celebrating its centenary year. 

There were many maths events that took place throughout the day. The Year 1 class kick-started the day with their maths based class assembly. All classes took part in an exciting maths session led by The Problem Solving Company and the Reception, Year 2 and Year 3's Forest School session took place based around maths outside.

At the end of the day the whole school joined together in the hall, Kindergarten and Reception sang a lovely song to the rest of the school, "The Animals Went in Two by Two" before a children versus staff  "Who Wants to be a Mathionnaire?" game took place. 

Thank you to all the children and staff for getting involved and donating to the NSPCC which works to safeguard children from abuse. We have raised £204.00 and made a big difference to children and young people.
