U9, U10 and U11 Netball V The Peterborough School
Our U9 team played The Peterborough School’s U10B team, as they no longer play their U9s on a Wednesday afternoon. It was a lovely well-matched game with both teams managing to have lots of shooting opportunities. The Peterborough School scored two goals in the first quarter, but we held our own once we found our feet and kept them at bay for the rest of the game. We had lots of possession in the second half and our passing became fluent down the court.
The final score was 2-0 to The Peterborough School
The U10 team played a High Five Netball game against The Peterborough School, with five players on the court for each team. Our team began to find their feet as the match progressed, they worked hard against a strong opposition and deservedly won the third quarter with more determination and focus, a valiant effort girls, well done!
The final score was 8-1 to The Peterborough School
U11 Match Report written by the Captain Heidi W.
The Under 11s played a strong game with Jenna scoring the first goal for Ayscoughfee. At this point, Peterborough had two goals already. At half time, Peterborough were ahead. The team were given a pep talk by Heidi, the captain, and after a quick drink of water they were ready to play on. Anna scored our second goal but sadly we were beaten in the end, with Peterborough having some strong defenders. The last quarter was our strongest, with defenders playing hard and defending the ball away from the opponents. Alexia was named woman of the match by Peterborough with some awesome defending skills shown throughout. Ayscoughfee played hard and sadly didn’t come home with the win, but in the end we all had fun and played well as a team.
