U10 & U11 Cricket Against The Peterborough School
The U10 and U11 Cricket teams played well against The Peterborough School on Wednesday. The U10s was a very well-balanced match. We lost the toss and were put in to bat. We scored steadily only losing 1 wicket. Some solid batting, good running between the stumps and the odd four. We scored 245 (all teams starting on 200). Peterborough’s batting was very mixed with high and low scoring partnerships. Our Captain Sebastian H. bowled an outstanding maiden over, taking two wickets and was named player of the match by the Peterborough team. The Peterborough U10s managed to beat us by 7 runs in the end scoring 252 for 3.
The U11s game was again very evenly matched. Jack M. captained the team and played a solid match. Elliott showed some impressive batting skills and Freddie N. made an exceptional catch on the boundary stopping a certain six and consequently was named player of the match by Peterborough. The score and result could have gone either way and came down to the last ball of the match. Peterborough needed four…which they were unable to get, so we won 235 runs to 232.
Well done to everyone who took part!
