Year 6 Victorian Christmas
Year 6 took part in a 'Victorian Christmas' at Stibbington and had a fantastic day learning about life in Victorian England. On arrival, they learnt about the Victorian school building and had the opportunity to play with old-fashioned playground games. They learnt about the traditions at Christmas, collected natural resources to create beautiful decorations and learnt about the meaning behind some of the items used. In the afternoon, the children learnt about life in a Victorian schoolroom, they became Victorian pupils trying their best to master ink pens, chalk boards and rote learning.
The day was a truly unforgettable experience, and the children are now busy recording their learning within History lessons.
