Remembrance
The children have been thinking about the importance of Remembrance in school this week. As part of our commemorations, we had fun making a human poppy, we decorated the front of the school with Poppy pictures which the children painted, coloured or collaged. We also put large poppies along the railings so we can feel together with the community in remembering.
We held a Zoom Remembrance assembly and our School Captains read a peace poem whilst the House Captains and Year 2 commemorated some of the soldiers who appear on the Spalding War Memorial.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Royal British Legion this year either by purchasing a poppy in school or by sponsoring Henry in Year 2 for his 11 mile bike ride around Rutland Water.
