Burghley House Tudor Day
Year 5 children had a magnificent time at Burghley House for their Tudor day! They took part in a range of fun games that children would have played during those times. The children loved taking part in the Tudor dance called Pavane, where the gentlemen danced around the ladies and vice versa; they took to their roles brilliantly.
We all listened to a spooky story around a fire - a real one at that! - before finding a secret passage that led into the great hall. Year 5 were blessed with the appearance of Henry VIII himself!
The children were a credit to the school with their exceptional behaviour and lovely manners. Mr Roberts would like to thank all children and parents for their incredible costumes-they all looked amazing!
