At Ayscoughfee Hall School we are delighted to have been awarded the Intermediate level of the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education. Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life and work in today’s world.

Ayscoughfee is one of the first schools in the area to have been awarded an International School Award by the British Council. The Award recognises our whole-school ethos of mutual respect, social responsibility and global citizenship; our diverse, innovative and inspiring curriculum; our link with our partner school in France; and our participation in many international and global activities throughout the year. We are so proud that the Ayscoughfee family represents such a broad range of nationalities, cultures, languages and religions and are excited to develop further opportunities for our pupils to understand and experience these and many more. International work is key support for the development of skills young people need to be the globally aware citizens of the future.
