Year 6 Bikeability
This week, year 6 have had a fantastic opportunity to learn their cycling proficiency skills during their ‘Bikeability’ sessions run by Outspoken Training. On Tuesday, they practised their cycling skills on the school playground. All the children listened well to the instructions given, to learn the key skills required for the next step in their training. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, they took part in three sessions around the local area, where they learnt road safety skills, including: how to signal safely; how to maintain their correct road position; safety around vehicles; how to turn and manoeuvre safely and how to approach junctions. All the children were great ambassadors for the school and made the staff proud with their excellent behaviour and positive attitude. The children have made great progress in learning how to be safe on the road and should be really proud of their achievement.
